Production Update #6

Dear Backers!

This is a quick update on the production & delivery of your beautiful All Day Bags. We're on track to have all of the All Day Bags completed by the second week of October. Upon completion they will have their first taste of sea travel within the comfort of their safe and cushioned boxes to our fulfillment center here in the US. We're coordinating all of the transitions in a way they can be as quickly and efficiently as possible. Below are some snaps from our production team in India. We're still on schedule to deliver by end of November.

Hi All!

We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying as much of their summer (or winter for everyone down unda')! We've been monitoring the COVID news with our supplier in India very closely these past few weeks. We were hoping to be at 100% but the Indian government has only approved our supplier to move from 30% to 40% capacity. We have received all supplies and have begun cutting the leathers for all of the bags. The cutting is still in process and once completed we will move into construction.

The timelines are currently a challenge to predict. We have been in long discussions with our suppliers about when production could be completed. It all hangs onto how much capacity the Indian government will give to its manufacturing sector. At current 40% operation rate, this will delay us by roughly 1 month. If production rate can quickly scale up to 100%, which is completely dependent on the government, then it could affect the delivery date in a beneficial way for all of us. 

The good news is that we are first in line for production and the work has already begun. If anything changes in terms of capacity and timelines, we will update everyone.  We care about the safety of our workers just as much as we care about the quality of our products. We really hope that it will be safe for everyone to return to their jobs soon. We thank you all for understanding and for your patience 😊.

Hello Fellow WandOrers!

Yesterday we received good news from our suppliers in India that the factory has re-opened. Albeit only at 30% capacity, we see this as a trend in the right direction. We will be monitoring everything closely to make sure everything runs smoothly and safely at the same time. As mentioned before, we are the first in line for production. The next couple of weeks will be used to properly set up the manufacturing chain. As of now, delivery towards the end of September is still possible.

Extended Campaign coming Wednesday (tomorrow 11:11am EST).

Due to Covid-19 many supporters had to back out from their pledges in midst of the campaign. In the past weeks we have received several requests to honor the Kickstarter discount. We thought it would be fair to do so due to the unique circumstances that affected so many of us. That is why we will do something we have never done before: we are extending the All Day Bag campaign for 14 days. Kickstarter has acknowledged the unique circumstances caused by Covid-19 and has given us a greenlight for the campaign re-launch. This is a rare moment for us and probably for Kickstarter but based off of our brand’s history of always producing and satisfying all backers they have given us this opportunity which we are very thankful for.

Will this affect your pledge?

Not at all. Everyone here will be first to be fulfilled and this will not affect your pledge or delivery timeline.

Things that can affect the delivery timeline is if any more delays occur from COVID-19 and how quickly our supplier can get to 100% capacity. They are very responsible and will be following strict COVID-19 safety guidelines. We will be updating everyone here as they come out with more information.
